Freshly squeezed piece of news – the heatwave is here to stay! 🙂🔥
Beaches are packed, roads are melting, and it is only 29 degrees Celsius… 😀 Watermelon, strawberry, and pineapple sales are going through the roof! I’m preparing my ice cream maker for tomorrow – at last!!! – sorbet, dairy free, you name it! 😀🍦🍦🍦 No more queueing at the ice cream shop.. 🙂 Continue reading “Heatwave Challenge – Update”→
Today was the very first day I ever saw the thermometer bar reach 30 C heat in Ireland… After ten years, I can hardly remember what that feels like… Our usual Irish weather would be a balmy 16 C, rain or shine.. ok ok, sometimes we would get an odd 20 C, but only for a day or two… This time, the record breaking heat wave is set to stay with us for another two weeks! There are scents which I still love since my early days. Like a scent of rain on a hot summer day.. Or a scent of freshly ironed, steamed clothes.. Or a smell of freshly picked raspberries from a forest… Or that weirdly attractive scent at the shoe repairs… 🙂 Also, I’ve always had an attachment to water colours, and painting in general. And for me as a kid, the best time to paint was when it was raining.. (Now, let me remind you, that was the pre-computer, pre-smart phone era…. 🙂 when apart from going to school, and a couple of chores at home, kids had pretty much all the free time to play outside… 🙂 )

And it is finally possible to put the woolly jumpers away, and reach for tank tops and shorts. You have no idea, how joyful it makes me feel! 🙂 Continue reading “Esxence Diary – Accendis”→
Somewhere deep deep in the rural West of Ireland, where the wind is nasty and the people are kind, where the waters are vast and the mist (it may seem so) doesn’t clear away… where it either rains or pours… Somewhere deep in West Cork, on the coast of the Atlantic, there are myriads of tiny fishing villages and mini fjords where you can go whale watching or climb the rocks… And the waters are so blue! My journey with Zoologist Perfumes started quite a while ago, I suppose around the time when their Civet won the Art and Olfaction Awards in 2017, and I got slightly deeper into browsing through online forums and perfume related groups on Facebook. The artwork back then fascinated me the most! Those beautifully drawn animals, so elegantly dressed in suits, and robes, and dresses – I’d never seen anything like that before! And one year in, I am finally able to try these beauties on my skin.
