The most beautiful orange that I have ever smelled…

Mon Nom Est Rouge from Majda Bekkali is one of my favourite scents from this brand. Warm, spicy, smoky and sweet.
Have a lovely weekend, dear fragrance family 🙂
It has been the most amazing week last week as I discovered Stella by Stella McCartney!
Unfortunately, I do not remember how or when I got it, but boy am I glad I randomly picked it up the other day! Wow what a delicious rose & peony bouquet this is!
Continue reading “Long Lost Scents – Stella”For the last couple of months I have been adjusting myself to all the new sensations that have been happening to me.
My nose and senses are readjusting to all the smells around, and it is more intense than ever before. I love it, though. Because I get to rediscover all the amazing fragrances that have been sitting on the shelves all this time!
Hello Spring! 🙂 What a delight it is to finally have you with us 🙂
The unexpected treat today was +18 C and blue skies in Ireland. At the end of February it is rather impressive 🙂
#scentoftheday undoubtedly was the majestic balsamic amber – Grand Soir by Maison Francis Kurkdjian. I love its smoothness and warmth…
I must be honest, I am loving this new theme on the blog – Perfume Portraits! It is so nice to get back to taking pictures again! 🙂 It felt like I lost the skill (and desire) somewhere at some stage… But it is so lovely to see that exciting feeling coming back, at last! 🙂
So, today’s portrait is Embers by Rouge Bunny Rouge.
New Year – new beginning – new themes on the blog! 🙂
Introducing Perfume Portraits – the new heading for 2019! And to kick start it – a little duo from Roads.
Roads is an Irish niche perfume company. I have noticed them stocked at Harvey Nichols store in Dundrum Town Center in Dublin. And luckily enough I managed to snatch these babies at a local TK Maxx store for a fraction of a price.
Roads – Graduate 1954. Parfum, launched in 2014.
Architecture, literature, music, painting, sculpting, poetry…. Art… Onyrico – the Italian perfume house is all about paying tribute to the Italian art…. It is about taking the time to appreciate, evaluate, admire… Onyrico is creativity… It is a dream that becomes a reality. Onyrico is about freedom and independence.
This week I am taking my first steps into Arabic / Oriental scents with Kajal Perfumes Paris.
The Arabic world has fascinated me since my early days because it is so different from everything in the mainland Europe. Sand storms, intense heat, camels…where do I even begin?
It was quite an unusual November and December in relation to perfumes. I kept going through my sample stash, trying out new scents. Some became my favourites instantly, the others I will be hardly coming back to just yet… Unless, a few months later my nose will crave for something new to re-discover… 🙂
