It was quite an unusual November and December in relation to perfumes. I kept going through my sample stash, trying out new scents. Some became my favourites instantly, the others I will be hardly coming back to just yet… Unless, a few months later my nose will crave for something new to re-discover… 🙂
This morning saw the end of another storm in Ireland. It was still wet and very windy, even though the worst was already over. I blind picked a sample, spritzed it on my wrists, and ran off to work…

Many moons ago I stopped by at a wonderful enchanted garden in the centre of London – Bloom Perfumery.
Every single perfume creation carries its secret but not all of them are worthy of your attention, time, and effort. Some talk to you and you get an instant connection. Others might discourage you at first sniff but with time they would become your most loved scents. How to know? How to choose wisely and not make a mistake? My journey with Zoologist Perfumes started quite a while ago, I suppose around the time when their Civet won the Art and Olfaction Awards in 2017, and I got slightly deeper into browsing through online forums and perfume related groups on Facebook. The artwork back then fascinated me the most! Those beautifully drawn animals, so elegantly dressed in suits, and robes, and dresses – I’d never seen anything like that before! And one year in, I am finally able to try these beauties on my skin.
Bonjour! And congratulations to the Winners of the Fifth Annual Art and Olfaction Awards !!!

– What was my fragrant journey with Jo Malone’s perfumes like? – I ask myself. And yet I cannot answer, as there has never been a proper beginning… But the perfume, it was always there.
Beginning
Jo Malone London has existed since I can remember.
Hello, my dearest perfume lovers,
I have just come back from a short day trip to London, which was a very pleasant surprise/ present from my husband. With very little time and so many things to see, I was very lucky to have also visited two perfume boutiques that specialize in niche fragrances – Les Senteurs and Bloom Perfumery. A separate post is yet to follow 🙂
And today I would like to share with you my first impressions of a new fragrance from Chanel – Coco Mademoiselle Intense (EDP).

Good evening, my darlings..
The day flew by so quickly and I barely noticed what time it was.. It gets dark outside very early, and sometimes it feels like the Sun doesn’t even rise…
1. #SOTD Amouage – Reflection.
A lovely, perfectly balanced fragrance – fresh, light, flowery, with a gentle base of cedar, amber and sandalwood. It lasts moderately long enough as a day-time perfume, and after 5-6 hours I can still feel a very gentle whiff of it on my wrist. Highly recommended on a warmer day.. 🙂 Continue reading “Bonjour Project – Day 10”
