Today was the very first day I ever saw the thermometer bar reach 30 C heat in Ireland… After ten years, I can hardly remember what that feels like… Our usual Irish weather would be a balmy 16 C, rain or shine.. ok ok, sometimes we would get an odd 20 C, but only for a day or two… This time, the record breaking heat wave is set to stay with us for another two weeks! My journey with Zoologist Perfumes started quite a while ago, I suppose around the time when their Civet won the Art and Olfaction Awards in 2017, and I got slightly deeper into browsing through online forums and perfume related groups on Facebook. The artwork back then fascinated me the most! Those beautifully drawn animals, so elegantly dressed in suits, and robes, and dresses – I’d never seen anything like that before! And one year in, I am finally able to try these beauties on my skin.
For the last couple of nights I’ve been falling asleep with Sylvaine Delacourte‘s fragrances from La Collection Muscs. This is a collection of five perfumes, each embracing a different relationship with musk. I find them calming, soothing.. Just perfect for testing and a good night’s rest…
