I must be honest, I am loving this new theme on the blog – Perfume Portraits! It is so nice to get back to taking pictures again! 🙂 It felt like I lost the skill (and desire) somewhere at some stage… But it is so lovely to see that exciting feeling coming back, at last! 🙂
So, today’s portrait is Embers by Rouge Bunny Rouge.
It was quite an unusual November and December in relation to perfumes. I kept going through my sample stash, trying out new scents. Some became my favourites instantly, the others I will be hardly coming back to just yet… Unless, a few months later my nose will crave for something new to re-discover… 🙂
This morning saw the end of another storm in Ireland. It was still wet and very windy, even though the worst was already over. I blind picked a sample, spritzed it on my wrists, and ran off to work…

My journey with Zoologist Perfumes started quite a while ago, I suppose around the time when their Civet won the Art and Olfaction Awards in 2017, and I got slightly deeper into browsing through online forums and perfume related groups on Facebook. The artwork back then fascinated me the most! Those beautifully drawn animals, so elegantly dressed in suits, and robes, and dresses – I’d never seen anything like that before! And one year in, I am finally able to try these beauties on my skin.
