Catching the last rays of today’s sunlight through a bottle of aromatic winter.

The Burren Perfumery and its masterpiece – Winter Woods. This fragrance is so versatile! It is at the same time warm and cooling, herbal and woody, so I find it very easy to wear at any time of the year.
According to the brand, “To create Winter Woods we took as our inspiration the Burren’s hidden woodlands and added aromatic herbal notes to blend a complex, subtle eau de toilette. Winter Woods opens with the freshness of Rosemary, Bergamot and Lemon, leads into subtle notes of Iris and Lavender and develops as a woody blend of Cedar, Pine and Vetiver for a long-lasting, quietly masculine fragrance.”
On my skin lavender and vetiver take over the show – and what a treat this is… Winter Woods last very well, too, about 8 hrs. And for an eau de toilette, it’s a massive achievement.
Winter Woods is one of those rare perfumes that I keep sniffing on my wrist through out the day. Calming and refreshing – it is perfect for an emotional rollercoaster-like summer’s day, or a chilly rainy evening at the fireplace with a cup of hot cocoa.
Would this be the best 48 euros you could spend on a 100ml bottle of Irish winter? Yes, yes, and yes! You won’t look back.
This blog post is not sponsored by anyone. I am thoroughly enjoying the quality of this scent. 🙂 I hope you will too 🙂
And don’t ponder too much about it being masculine. Winter Woods is absolutely unisex.
