Here are some sample cards from my quick visit to Brown Thomas the other day.

I had a chance to finally try these, and two days later the scents still linger on very strong.
[I must also say, the fragrance community is very influential π ]
And here are my favorites from the trip: π
Maison Lancome – Parfait de Roses, Oud Bouquet
Tom Ford – Cafe Rose, Noir de Noir
Maison Lancome Parfait de Roses reminded me of a Lipstick Rose – sweet, warm, gourmand vanilla scent. Slightly fruity as well, to freshen up the palate.
Oud Bouquet was a rich woody scent, and it remained so till the end. Like my husband said, it’s very deep in the forest π
It is composed of three woods from different continents – oud, leathery cedarwood, and patchouli. Accordingto the brand, it is a “narcotic and sensual rose” but I would like to try it on skin first…
Tom Ford – Cafe Rose was very attractive, I instantly felt drawn to it. It is a warm, spicy rose scent, with notes of coffee and patchouli. Enticing, exotic, seductive? – yes, yes, yes!
Noir de Noir – “rich feminine florals and masculine earthiness” – ylang ylang, patchouli, black truffle, vanilla, tree moss, rose (?). Dark, sexy, indulgent? – right so! Noir de Noir is nothing like Black Orchid as I thought it would be. The base notes of this particular scent are the most attractive to me from all four sampling cards.
Now, I can only wish to try out all of these scents on my skin, to get a better understanding and feeling… but so far, I really like them all. π
Seems like rose – patchouli combo is back and is here to stay! π β€
