New Year – new beginning – new themes on the blog! š
Introducing Perfume Portraits – the new heading for 2019! And to kick start it – a little duo from Roads.
Roads is an Irish niche perfume company. I have noticed them stocked at Harvey Nichols store in Dundrum Town Center in Dublin. And luckily enough I managed to snatch these babies at a local TK Maxx store for a fraction of a price.
Roads – Graduate 1954. Parfum, launched in 2014.

I love this fragrance! It reminds me of olden day scents, something from Chanel, or like Miss Dior Originale, or something similar to Rive Gauche by YSL – that kind of mossy floral fragrance… Graduate 1954 is a rich and creamy scent with dominating tuberose and moss.
Roads – Lights. Parfum, launched in 2014.

Now, as much as I enjoy Graduate 1954, unfortunately, I cannot say the same about Lights! So gutted! This perfume – for whatever strange reason – performs extremely badly on my skin!… For the first two hours all I can smell is a salon of a car on a very hot day – petrol / leather / heat / weird car-freshner – and it is so sickening to me that it actually turns my stomach!… š¦
I am ok if I spray it on the clothes, though…. And I can smell its amazing quality ingredients, rich woody-floral creaminess. Alas! I so love sniffing my wrists as I go along and I just cannot enjoy this perfume…. Unfortunately, this baby is not for me…
I loved taking pictures of the bottles, though! š They are very cute, I think š Hope you enjoy the new Perfume Portraits, too!
