Memory Lane – Avon Today

White florals…tuberose…and honey… Sweet, so sweet… So rich, so thick… The scent that will always be remembered…

I received ‘Today’ as a present from a dear friend years ago, and it was one of the very first of my fragrances.. If not the first… And I loved it… Back then, perfume was a luxury that I could not afford… And I remember loving every single drop of this beauty…

Recently I got a chance to purchase it from Avon catalogue. I don’t know what possessed me, or why I bothered at all, but I am so glad I did! It has brought so many lovely memories… Even the moment itself of receiving the perfume as a gift…

I can distinguish a lot more notes now. Even something spicy, peppery, like cloves!…. But the overall feeling hasn’t changed, as it is still an amazing scent 🙂

Today I celebrate with Today! 😀 And thank you, Avon, for keeping it in production 🙂

Here I am, opening the encyclopedia of Fragrantica, and finding that Mr.Olivier Cresp is the creator of a good few of my early fragrant memories! What a pleasant surprise 🙂

  1. Even though I liked and wore perfumes long before Avon was first introduced in my native country and I bought some cosmetics and, I think, skincare from them after I moved to the US, I’m not sure if I’ve ever smelled any of their perfumes. But I know how you feel because I still have a soft spot for my favorites from older times, for example, Yves Rocher Nature (though this one is sadly out of production).
I hope you’ll get some joyful wear from your new old perfume.

    1. Oh thank you so much for your kind words! What fascinated me the most when I tried this perfume was that, after so many years, the fragrance is able to evoke a whole load of feelings and memories!
Yves Rocher Nature is beautiful, I remember seeing it in a gorgeous tiny splash bottle, but was too young to be even remotely interested in perfumes back then, probably at 10 years of age 🙂
