Hello my dear readers,

I hope you’re all enjoying this lovely time of the year, wherever you are. Days in Lithuania are very different from one another. I am used to this from living in Ireland, so nothing can surprise me anymore.. unless it is snow! 🙂 I love snow 🙂 especially when the ground is freshly covered with a nice thick layer of it.. and as you walk, you can hear it crunch underneath your feet…. 🙂 everything around then looks so peaceful and festive… ❤

Well, Christmas came early this year and my secret Santa is being very naughty… 🙂 Here’s what I received 🙂

Bi-es – Lady Secret Fame

According to the parent company’s ‘Uroda Polska’ website, it is a sensual and seductive, provocative fragrance. The notes include mandarin and peach, jasmine, and musk. On another website the notes are very much different – honey, apricot, orchid, and incense… so I am quite confused 🙂 Well, it is supposed to be similar to ‘Fame’ by Lady Gaga…

Unfortunately, it is gone in two hours from my wrist. It does smell of something fruity, flowery, though.. A very calm perfume… Provocative?… Personally, I would say, the opposite… However, it is more of a perfume that matches the name quite well – secret fame – something you don’t want anyone to know about…

Fabio Verso – Imperium four Femme

This is another fragrance from the same Polish company Bi-es. If you manage to not suffocate for the first two hours from the synthetic fruitiness…I must congratulate you! The base of this …secret gem… is actually quite nice! 🙂 And according to 1perfumery.co.uk,  it is supposed to be the similar to Anthology L’Imperatrice 3 by Dolce&Gabbana… To be honest, L’Imperatrice 3 is on the bargain shelf from time to time, hunt it down. Don’t waste your two hours on Imperium…

Ulric de Varens – Varensia

Now this is Perfume 🙂 I loved the bottle from the moment I saw it. And the fragrance did not disappoint me either 🙂 Launched in 1994, this beauty still carries the character of the olden days perfume – fruity / flowery, woody, powdery chypre! It lasts 3+ hours on my skin, and the sillage is quite moderate, too. Well, for 5.99 euros in Eurokos  it is a decent bottle of perfume that, if gifted, would make a lovely present 🙂

3. Something to be thankful for

Just recently there was a show on in Šiauliai – a Rock Symphony on Ice. It was a magical performance, a collaboration of life orchestra playing rock ballads, famous Lithuanian singers, and some 20 Olympic / World champions dancing on ice. I have loved watching ice skating since I was little. But this time I finally got to see the legendary athletes and artists performing live… For me it was like a childhood dream coming true 🙂 Margarita Drobiazko and Povilas Vanagas – two beautiful humans whose names were like a mantra engraved in my memory…. (if interested, you’re very welcome to read a recent interview with the couple in the magazine ‘Stilius’)

Everyday on this trip I realize something new either about the country, or its people, or myself… And these little discoveries are like precious stones that I will cherish in my heart for ever… Thank you, Lithuania! ❤
