Bonjour Project – Day 4

Dear fragheads,

What is your worst fear? For me it would be loosing the ability to smell things.. πŸ™‚ Funny thing happened – I found myself somewhere in the middle of a head cold and a blocked / runny nose today… So there I was, starting my day with

1. #SOTD Rive Gauche – Yves Saint Laurent

and could only find green notes in it. Oh dear, oh dear… I was on the road to a disaster.. πŸ™‚

The drama grew to the level of ‘I am not going anywhere today! I am doomed to stay in bed for the rest of the week!’ … (A little confession, my dear readers, – a head cold stays with me for weeks..and I go through tons of tissues…packs and bags of them… 😦 and nothing, and I mean it, nothing helps…) However, thanks to a special mission that I have set myself on from the day before, I put my brave face on and stepped out..

And then the magic happened πŸ™‚ I went into the nearest pharmacy and asked for something for a blocked nose.. And seemingly, there are gel like capsules with eucalyptus and orange oils..and they worked instantly! πŸ™‚ I couldn’t believe the speed of it… So, I used that time to visit yet another uncovered gem on the Lithuanian market…

2. Little discoveries of the day

Enter Kristiana – a beauty and fragrance shop, opened in 1994, was the very first one to stock the legendary Chanel No.5 in the country. Today they have sixteen stores across Lithuania and Latvia. My visit today was rather short but a very pleasant one. Alongside of designer stuff, they also stock a huge amount of exclusive niche / exclusive perfumes. I was slightly cleverer today – I wrote down the names of the brands πŸ˜€Β and also the juice that attracted me most… However, my nose is acting up on me again and I cannot be certain of their longevity on the blotters… But keeping a long story short, here are my pleasant discoveries of today:

Miya Shinma – Tsuki

Keiko Mecheri – Lady Pointe

Amouroud – Midnight Rose

Masque Milano – Tango

Widian Aj Arabia – Black I, and Delma

Xerjoff – Dama Bianca

And so far, I was brave enough to try Tango only. It still sits there quietly on my wrist… I like it.. I get a little whiff of it every now and then… very pleasant.. πŸ™‚

So tomorrow, if my nose permits of course, I am heading back to Kristiana for another dose… πŸ™‚

3. Something to be thankful for

Dear people of Lithuania, I wish to thank you for elegance. Thank you for classiness… Thank you for still putting a suit / a dress on when going to a play… thank you for keeping your chin up, and always dressing up to the nines, even if you’re going grocery shopping…

Recently, I have found out that elegance does not need to be expensive or super exclusive… That could be your only pair of shoes, or only fancy top, but if they are clean and looked after, they will always do the work…

And I am so glad to see young girls strolling down the streets of Vilnius barely with any make up on, with beautiful long hair flowing freely.. I am so glad because by being that – pure – to me they are the most beautiful girls on Earth…

Goodnight…
